Anonymous asked: if you could only photograph either men or women from now on, but not both, which would you choose and why?

This is far more difficult a question than I originally thought. When I first read this, I went back and looked through my work- this time evaluating the gender ratio. I found a considerably higher percentage of males than I anticipated.

The quick answer is while I appreciate the male form in it’s many shapes and sizes- if I could only photograph one from now on, I would much rather have a studio filled with females.

But if I were to think about it for far too long, as I have, I may say men. I’m much more engrossed by man’s oafish role throughout history than woman’s disposition. I have more to say with violence and filth than I do with beauty or vulnerability.
